7 Days Left in the VEGlobal Campaign – Donate Now!

Hello Global Volunteers!
 
We are now in the last 7 DAYS of the campaign and donations keep coming in!  Just last Friday, two VEGlobal Board Members, Luke Winston and Jonah Berman, held a dance-club fundraiser in Boston that was a huge success.  Supporters from all over New England helped to spread the word of the event and VEGlobal’s work in Chile.  The outcome?  Nearly 400 people in attendance, raising more than $3,000 for the campaign! 
 
With only 7 DAYS left, we need your help to get the word out and support the campaign.  Here are 3 easy ways to help out VE:
 
1) Make your personal campaign contribution by clicking: Donate Now!
2) Email or contact your family and friends and invite them to donate online! 

3) Donate Frequent Flier Miles!  VEGlobal is accepting Frequent Flier Miles from Air Canada, American Airlines, Delta, LAN and United.  Please email fundraising@voluntariosesperanza.org and a VE representative will contact you to schedule your donation.
 
Don’t forget that all contributions are due by Monday, December 1, 11:59pm EST.  Your contribution is vital to supporting the children in our institutional network and the educational programs that provide them greater opportunities everyday!

11 Days Left in the VEGlobal Campaign – Donate Now!

Hello VEGlobal Supporters!

 

As you know, we are now down to the last 11 days of our VEGlobal Unite. Act. Engage Campaign and have started a countdown as a final push to unite our entire volunteer network in making final contributions to the campaign.  Many of you have responded to this challenge, donating a total of $1,000 in the past 2 days! This is a great start to the campaign-end countdown and we know that we are only going to see bigger numbers as the campaign comes to a close.

 

If you haven’t had time to make your contribution yet, here’s what you can do:

• Make your personal campaign contribution via Google Checkout.  Donate now!
• Email, call or visit family and friends and ask them to make a contribution to VEGlobal

 

All contributions are due by Monday, December 1, 11:59pm EST.  Remember that your contribution goes to support programs and activities such as Vamos a Leer! and Liga de Deportes, key VEGlobal programs and activities, which reach over 450 at-risk children in Chile on a daily basis.   Let’s all do our part in supporting the children of Chile!

 

14 Days Left in the VEGlobal Campaign – Participate NOW!

After almost five weeks of hosting fundraisers, letter writing campaigns and VE presentations, the VEGlobal Unite. Act. Engage. Campaign is coming to an end.  We are now on the final push for submitting campaign activities and making our first annual VEGlobal Unite. Act. Engage. Campaign a success! 
 
Starting today, we are asking everyone to do the following:

• Submit your personal VEGlobal campaign donation via Google Checkout. Donate now!
• Send out an email inviting your friends and family to donate to VE.  

Contributions can be submitted via Google Checkout by visiting our website at www.ve-global.org and clicking on “Donate Now!”.  All contributions must be received via Google Checkout no later than 11:59pm EST, Monday, December 1,  in order to be considered as part of the global campaign.  Feel free to add a personal story or photo with your request.  Email templates for requesting donations can be found in the “Resources“ section of this blog.

VEGlobal Supports the Book Launch of “Santiago’s Children”

On Wednesday, November 19, VEGlobal will support Harvard University and Instituto Chileno Norteamericano de Cultura in the launch of “Santiago’s Children: What I learned about Life at an Orphanage in Chile”.  The event will start at 7:30pm and be held in Santiago, Chile, at the Instituto Chileno Norteamericano de Cultura, located at Pio X 2481, Providencia.  The author, Steve Reifenberg, is the Director of the Regional Office of Harvard University’s David Rockefeller Center for Latin American Studies and a member of the VEGlobal Advisory Board.  The book is Steve’s personal account of his time living as a volunteer at Domingo Savio, a VE institution.   This is a great opportunity to learn more about the lives of the children that we support.  To RSVP for this event, please contact Ana Maria Berthelon at amberthelon@norteamericano.cl

VE launches first global fundraising campaign – Join Now!

Welcome to the first annual VEGlobal Unite. Act. Engage. 2008 Campaign Blog where you can find information, materials, and VEGlobal contacts engaged in campaign efforts.  We are excited to provide you with this blog because it not only provides you with all of the information necessary for you to participate in the VEGlobal campaign, but it also supports our first attempt to unite the entire global network to take simultaneous action in VE fund and awareness raising activities.

Since the launch of the campaign on October 16^th, we have confirmed participation interest from over 50 people in 10 countries. We already have several events scheduled globally, and recently held a launch event in Boston, MA, USA, that generated much enthusiasm and over $3,000 USD in campaign pledges!  In addition, we have received requests from other individuals asking how they can support the campaign.

It’s not too late to get involved! Interested individuals should complete the Campaign Activity Registration Form located on this page.    A campaign representative will contact you to help you in planning your campaign activity.  In addition, upon submitting a summary of your event, you will be eligible to win a VEGlobal Unite. Act. Engage. Campaign Award.  Three prizes will be awarded for most creative, most funds raised and most people engaged.
